I used to feel like I was on the forever hunt for the best smoothie blender on the market! I had tried so many different blenders over the years, but was always left wanting a little more. That is, up until I purchased my current blender back in 2016!I had tried the Magic Bullet Blender and while I liked the small size
I had heard so much about Vitamix blenders, but was very intimidated by the price. Could a blender be worth that much money??
The Overall Best Smoothie Blender
Somewhere along the way of researching, I discovered Blendtec. I wasn’t familiar with the brand, but it seemed to have rave reviews. I was nervous that I hadn’t heard anyone I followed talking about this blender, but I loved so many of its features — dishwasher-safe jar that’s BPA free, blunt blades that you’re not able to cut yourself on, and non-removable blades that stay attached to the jars.
I’ve had my Blendtec blender for seven or eight years now and it’s still going strong! It’s truly the best smoothie blender, but I use it for all sorts of things in the kitchen. Making celery juice, hummus, wellness shots, mixing Bulletproof coffee, making almond milk at home, and even mixing matcha. There are buttons on the blender for making soups, batters, ice cream, and frozen cocktails, too.
I truly cannot recommend it enough! It has so much power and blends all the smoothie foods and ingredients you can think of — with absolute EASE. My smoothies are so smooth and creamy, just like they would be from a juice shop. I’ve actually heard that both Jamba Juice and Planet Smoothie use Blendtec blenders!
I never, ever feel like I’m getting pieces of leafy greens in my straw, which was one of my biggest hang-ups with the other blenders I’ve tried.
It can be tricky to find a retailer that carries multiple Blendtec blenders to compare and all of the accessories that go along with them, but Kohl’s has it all! There are a few different size blenders by Blendtec, but Kohl’s has the best selection.
I have the Blendtec Total Blender, which now comes with one four-sided jar included. Back when I purchased my blender, it came with one full-size Wildside Jar. I then purchased the mini Wildside Jar that saves space in the dishwasher. It’s nice to have for when I’m making a single serving smoothie!
Although my blender is professional grade, there are a few options if you’re looking for a step up. If you’re interested in a professional blender with a clear lid over the top, check out the Professional 800 Blender. If you’re looking for a stylish blender that you can leave out on your counter, check out the Designer 650 Blender in Stainless Steel.
You know you’re officially in adulthood when you’re looking at warranty information, but the Blendtec Total Blender that I have comes with a two-year warranty. The Designer 650 comes with an eight-year warranty, and the Professional 800 comes with a ten-year warranty!
