Packer, one of America’s most storied sneaker retailers, continues to showcase its expertise in curating collaborations that blend heritage and modernity. Founded in 1907, the New Jersey-based store has become a staple in the sneaker community, known for its well-executed partnerships with major brands. After successful collaborations with Reebok in recent years, primarily focusing on Allen Iverson’s iconic signature line, Packer is shifting gears with their latest project—reimagining the Reebok Premier Road Modern. This mesh runner perfectly aligns with the resurgence of retro-performance footwear.
This Fall 2024 release takes on a seasonally appropriate color palette that complements the Premier Road Modern’s streamlined design. The sneaker’s base features a cream mesh upper as the perfect canvas for earthy tones. Deep blue panels wrap around the midfoot, contrasted by brown canvas overlays and accents near the collar and toebox. Forest green hits the toe box, TPU eyelets, and heel tab, while light olive green tumbled leather elevates the tongue area. Adding depth to the design, puffy neoprene sections extend up the tongue and across the toe box, offering style and comfort. White laces and a matching sockliner complete the upper’s clean look, while the DMX-cushioned midsole in white and blue provides responsive comfort. The sneaker is finished with a durable rubber outsole in black, blue, and green, ensuring reliable traction.
The Packer x Reebok Premier Road Modern will release in Fall 2024 exclusively via Packer online and in-store. The retail price has yet to be announced.
