There is no denying the great success that adidas has enjoyed with their collaborative partners recently. Demand is growing for innovative takes on footwear as each season passes. Continuing to adapt and start new relationships is high on the priority list at HQ in Herzogenaurach, and this two-shoe collection arrives with the blossoming Swedish brand Jay3lle. Connecting against a backdrop of the game of golf, the adidas × Jay3lle Golf Collection is sure to turn a few heads down at the clubhouse.
A relatively new name to the scene, Jay3lle is the brainchild of father and daughter Johan and Blue Lindeberg. After great success in the early 90s at Diesel, Johan left to set out on his own, creating J.Lindeberg, a brand that particularly emphasizes fashionable style in golf wear. After working at BLK DNM, his new project now centers on direct-to-consumer singular item pieces, forgoing seasonal collections. Their maiden product launch saw a flat ballerina-style shoe, available in White or Black, so it is fitting that their first partnership with adidas continues that theme to some extent.
The adidas Codechaos has been a mainstay of the signature adidas Golf product line since 2020 and provides the baseplate model for this duo offering. Both shoes are the same and constructed of predominantly leather uppers, featuring the recognizable jagged midsole that uses Boost technology. Perforated leather underlays appear at the toe area, and a medial panel where the suede stripes sit overlaying, while parallel to the stripes, is the cursive Jay3lle branding. Smooth leather wraps around the heel, debossed with the adidas EQT logo, while the higher ankle and top of the boot see layers of nubuck and more perforated leather. The tongue is finished in perforated leather with a co-branded tongue tag.
To complete both pairs, a golf tee holder with tees and a removable strap further elevates the design. While one shoe arrives in classic tones of cloud white, with core black stripes, the side Jay3lle branding is highlighted in red. The other shoe comes in core black with cloud white stripes and black branding. An accompanying tee set comes in pink, red, and purple, housed in a removable holder on both pairs.
The Jay3lle x adidas Golf Collection W is set to release on August 19, 2024, through Jay3lle, adidas, and select retailers in-store and online. Coming in women’s sizing, retail is TBD.
