Justin Saunders’ JJJJound is renowned for its ability to elevate whichever partner they decide to team up with, offering minor tweaks and premium construction when the JJJJound label is slapped on. For footwear, We’ve seen the Montreal-based label work with many partners, recently teasing a new project with New Balance on the 993. Now, JJJJound has taken to Instagram to showcase its upcoming Timberland collection.
Utilizing the iconic 6-Inch Boot, JJJJound keeps things minimalistic, as they typically do, with two clean colorways. One has a clean Triple Black finish, while the other comes in Brown, a shade commonly seen on dress shoes and older work boots. Both come with a premium leather construction, with the upper lined with a Gore-Tex coating to protect against environmental hazards. JJJJound makes its mark known through this elevated construction and simple color scheme, as well as via a co-branded Timberland and JJJJound logo, which is debossed on the heel. Black laces run through the plastic eyelets, also rendered in black, while the collar of each pair comes in a black finish. Underfoot sits a black midsole and outsole combo. As the brand shares more details, we’ll get a more complete story on the premium materials and craftsmanship involved in the project.
JJJJound’s upcoming Timberland collaboration will be released on September 19, 2024, through Timberland and JJJJound online. As of this writing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
