New Balance has been on a roll, bringing back classic silhouettes and revamping them for modern sneaker enthusiasts. Building on the success of revivals like the New Balance 1000, the brand is set to reintroduce the New Balance 475, crafted initially by Steven Smith in the ‘80s. So far, we’ve seen previews of notable collaborations with Aime Leon Dore and Auralee, and inline variants. Before we can get any of that, we have looks at a pair launching next summer: Rose Sugar.
The New Balance 475 Rose Sugar boasts an upper crafted from premium suede and corduroy, drenched in delicate pink hues. The pink suede panels cover the mudguard, midfoot, and heel, providing a cohesive and vibrant look. The corduroy base also features a pink finish, adding texture and depth to the design.
A tan suede panel along the midfoot introduces a subtle contrast, complementing the overall aesthetic. Cream accents on the tongue and sockliner enhance the softness of the palette, while black branding elements, including the NB logo, N logo, and heel tab, offer a bold contrast. Completing the look is a cream foam midsole for comfort and a black rubber outsole for durability.
The New Balance 475 Rose Sugar is set to release in Summer 2025 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. As of this writing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
