The Nike Dunk lineage has been, without a doubt, one of the major players in the sneaker landscape, consistently bridging the past with the present. Today, Nike took to the SNKRS App and unveiled an exciting preview of the brand’s plans, featuring some long-awaited retros, including the Dunk Low CO.JP Ultraman and Reverse Curry. Amid the cascade of announcements, the Nike Dunk Low Silver Blue, a classic silhouette from decades ago, has been confirmed for a Fall 2024 release. Alongside this pair, a new Nike Air Foamposite One Royal version will be hitting shelves during the same time frame.
This forthcoming iteration of the Nike Dunk Low Silver Blue promises to deliver an authentic rendition reminiscent of its 2003 counterpart. The shoe’s upper is crafted meticulously, staying true to its roots with the familiar mesh and leather interplay, both doused in shades of silver and grey. Serving as a striking contrast, the Swoosh is adorned in a vivid blue, harmonizing with the touch of red on the heel tab. The tongue tag carries forward this color story with its red backdrop accented by blue Nike branding. The crisp white Dunk midsole is complemented by a grey rubber outsole, completing the timeless look.
When this Dunk first hit shelves, it was nicknamed Silver Surfer after the Fantastic Four character. Even though it was not an official collaboration with the superhero, the insole featured a graphic depicting the Silver Surfer. However, the new release comes with the normal Nike logo inside.
The Nike Dunk Low Silver Blue will release on September 5, 2024, through Nike, SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $135.
