Nike SB continues to push the boundaries of skateboarding footwear with its latest performance model, the PS8. Named after the Instagram handle of the late Sandy Bodecker, problemsolver8, the PS8 pays homage to one of Nike’s most influential figures in skateboarding. Bodecker’s vision and contributions have left a lasting impact on the brand, and the PS8 model reflects his innovative spirit. Earlier this summer, the PS8 debuted as part of Nike’s Electric Pack for the Olympics, but as we move further into the season, Nike SB is set to release another colorway of the PS8, this time in a sleek and versatile Black.
Designed to create a sneaker that maintains its shape through multiple skate sessions while providing a broken-in feel right out of the box, the Nike SB PS8 Black features an upper constructed from a combination of Flyknit, nubuck, leather, and TPU, all coated in a rich black hue. The Flyknit base offers flexibility and breathability, while the nappy nubuck on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel adds a textured contrast. Smooth leather is used for the Swoosh on the midfoot, and fused TPU lines the mudguard and vamp for added durability. The clear Zoom Air cushioned midsole and a Flyplate and High Abrasion Rubber Tech (HART) outsole ensures a grippy and responsive feel underfoot, perfect for skaters seeking both style and performance.
The Nike SB PS8 Black will be released on August 8, 2024, through Nike and select Nike SB retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
