Salehe Bembury has become synonymous with boundary-pushing design in the footwear world, and his collaboration with Crocs has been no exception. Known for his distinctive fingerprint motif and innovative use of materials, Bembury has redefined what Crocs can be, merging functionality with high fashion. Following the debut of his new Juniper silhouette in the Guava colorway and teasers of other designs like the RealTree Camo and Blue Orange, Bembury is set to release a new iteration: the Tahini.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Juniper Tahini combines white mesh and rubber across its upper. The design includes perforated panels on the toe and heel for enhanced breathability, while the midfoot is adorned with a membrane texture that adds depth and visual interest. The collar is crafted from mesh, providing a lightweight and comfortable fit, and the tongue is constructed from neoprene, ensuring a snug and secure feel. The shoe’s standout feature is its 3D fingerprint-inspired sole unit, finished in a gum colorway, which not only offers a unique visual element but adds grip and durability.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Juniper Tahini will release on September 5, 2024, through Salehe Bembury’s Be A Spunge website. A wider release via Crocs and select retailers online and in-store has not yet been announced. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
