Salehe Bembury’s Crocs Pollex Clog has been a game-changer in the world of footwear since its debut. Once one of the most sought-after models in the market, reselling for well over its retail price, the hype surrounding the Pollex Clog has leveled off as it releases in numerous colorways. However, Bembury’s Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job project has reignited interest by introducing ultra-limited collaborations between Crocs and various artists. After launching the series with Futura, Bembury now teams up with contemporary artist Jonas Wood to bring his distinctive aesthetic to the Pollex Clog.
The Salehe Bembury x Jonas Wood x Crocs Pollex Clog retains the 3D fingerprint design that has become the model’s signature. This time, Jonas Wood injects his bold style with a graphic pattern that takes over the upper. The design features a black-and-white dotted pattern accented with black paint, creating a unique visual effect across the concave surfaces. A light blue hue serves as the base for the clog, extending to the sports mode strap. Additional details include Wood’s signature in black and a continuation of the graphic pattern on the spine of the strap. Clear rubber accents appear near the toe and outsole, adding a subtle yet stylish touch to the overall design.
The Salehe Bembury x Jonas Wood x Crocs Pollex Clog is limited to 1,000 pairs and will release on August 22, 2024, exclusively via the Be A Spunge website. The retail price has yet to be announced.
